Weekly online Esperanto classes!
Are you thinking of learning and practising Esperanto, the international language? You've come to the right place! We offer weekly online Esperanto classes from beginner (A1) to advanced (C1) levels. You can read more about these different levels on Wikipedia.

We can also help you prepare for the official Esperanto exam (B1, B2, C1 and C2 levels) which is usually held in June online and at certain locations worldwide.

Our 3-month online courses start every January, April, and September. Classes are held once a week on Zoom for one hour. Everybody is welcome but please register only if you are confident you can attend most weeks as each group is limited to about 15 participants.

Read about the language levels on Wikipedia.

Beginner course (A1-A2 level):
This course is based on "Esperanto by Direct Method" by Stano Marček and is divided into two three-month periods (Beginners I & Beginners II). If you're a beginner looking to take your first steps into Esperanto waters or if you've already done a little by yourself, this course is for you.
Please note that grammatical explanations are in English.
Beginner Immersion course (A1-A2 level):
This course is designed for complete beginners and is taught entirely in Esperanto from the very first lesson. Based on an immersion approach, it helps you develop your understanding of the language through listening, repetition, and practical communication rather than explanations in your native language. The course is divided into two three-month periods (Beginner Immersion I & Beginner Immersion II).
Please note that the teacher does not speak English and will use only Esperanto in this course from day one.
Grammar sessions (A1-A2 level):
These sessions held by Anna Lowenstein on Saturdays are for students who are still learning Esperanto through Duolingo, Lernu.net or similar websites. Anna focuses on some specific grammar points each week.
Please note that grammatical explanations are in English.
Post-beginner course (A2-B1 level):
This course is for students who already have the basics under control and want to aim a little higher.
Intermediate course (B1-B2 level):
This course is for students who already have the B1 level. It consists of grammar exercises, reading and conversations.
Advanced course (B2-C1 level):
This course is for students who already have the B2 level. In this course you will read short texts, discuss them and do some grammar exercises.
Conversation course:
The key thing when you learn a language is to start using it with other speakers once you have the basics covered. Don't make the common mistake to think that it's better to wait until you have a higher level.

The good thing about Esperanto is that even experienced speakers had to learn it at some point like you're doing just now. If you already have completed a beginners course, you might want to participate in our conversation sessions.

If you prefer a 1-to-1 conversation with an experienced Esperantist then you should try Ekparolu! It is not a lesson so each 30-mn session is different as it depends on the person you're talking to of course but he/she will adapt to your level as the idea is to help you progress.
Quiz course:
Step into the world of the classic adventure book Robinson Crusoe! Each week we explore a few pages of the novel through lively discussion and fun multiple-choice quizzes. Expect around 20 questions per session: some serious, some silly, and some that will make you laugh. You can read the text beforehand in any language, then join the class to speak only in Esperanto while testing your knowledge of the story.
